Our History

Being active in the market for 23 years, Reta Engenharia’s work can be seen all over the country. From the feasibility study of a project to the executive management of constructions, the company has accumulated knowledge and has conquered recognition among its clients, always adopting PMI’s (Project Management Institute) concepts.

1995
Reta Engenharia begins operations guided by a clearly established mission statement based on ethical principles and social responsibility, and by the firm determination of its founders.
1996
The company’s flowcharts for all activities, services portfolio and HR policy are defined.
1997
Reta starts its engineering management with the construction of the first Latin American Biotechnology Unit in the city of Lagoa Santa, in Minas Gerais. It was successfully concluded in 1998.
1998
Reta has ample participation in Quartzolit’s expansion plan after it was taken over by Saint-Gobain in 1997. Reta designed all projects and was in charge of the implementation of four new industrial plants in Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Rio Grande do Sul.
1999
Reta’s countrywide services are consolidated with the conclusion of the engineering management and construction of the Polo Indústria e Comércio, implemented in Montenegro, Rio Grande do Sul.
2001
Reta starts its participation in an important project in the cement industry, with engineering management and planning for the construction of Camargo Correa’s new industrial plant in Ijaci, Minas Gerais. The construction is successfully concluded in July, 2002.
2002
Reta uses with success its Construction Planning System at units URFCC, UHDT, UCR and OFF-Sites for the expansion of the Alberto Pasqualini- REFAP S/A refinery, in Canoas, Rio Grande do Sul.
2004
Reta takes an important step forward in the Mining sector, conquering its first contract with Vale, for the realization of a complete diagnosis of the Planning System comprising twelve of Vale’s main enterprises.
2005
In order to ensure the standardization of all processes offered, Reta defines its Program for Certifications. As a means to reach excellence in Management, Reta defines the techniques recommended by PMI in project performance as its guiding policy.
2006
Reta Engenharia devises the strategic plan for the construction works of the new Minas Gerais State Administrative Center, designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer. The complex comprises nearly 270,000 square meters of built-up area and hosts the state government’s headquarters and departments of state.
2007
Our company meets consolidation in the Steel Industry by managing and concluding the construction works for the expansion of Gerdau’s largest steel mill, the President Arthur Bernardes Steel Mill. The project comprised the construction of Blast Furnace 2, built in a record time, in addition to the Continuous Casting Unit, Human Resources and Water Treatment Station.
2008
Attentive to the needs and to market evolutions, our company expands its portfolio of products and services and creates a new process: DEEC – Economic Balance Diagnosis of Contract.
2009
Reta concluded its participation in the Salobo Project, which was implemented in the Municipality of Marabá, in Southearstern Pará. Our company left a remarkable contribution by devising the Strategic Plan for the construction works and, also, by developing and implementing the enterprise’s performance assessment program (PAPE). The copper mining project is owned by Salobo Metais S/A and boasts an installed capacity of one hundred thousand tonnes a year.
2010
Developing budget and planning for overhauling and modernization of one of the 2014 FIFA World Cup’s stadiums, Mineirão. As the project accomplished all goals of its strategic plan, the stadium is considered a Successful Case among the 12 stadiums that underwent renovation to host the event.
2011
Minas Gerais – Vale Memorial is inaugurated and celebrated by the community of Belo Horizonte. As part of the Praça da Liberdade Cultural Circuit, the project comprised the restauration, expansion and adaptation of the centenary building formerly used by State Treasury. Reta is proud to have participated developing all complementary detailed engineering projects and managing the entire construction works.
2012
Reta Engenharia leaves its mark also in the energy sector performing technical and commercial studies during the installation of the Estreito Hydroelectric Power Plant in Maranhão.
2013
Reta Engenharia concludes its participation in the executive management of Samarco’s main capital project, the successful Fourth Pelletization Project (P4P), which comprised the installation of a third Concentrator and new Pumping Stations at the Germano Mine, Minas Gerais.
2014
Reta finishes its participation in the impressive Minas Rio Project, owned by Anglo American. From 2009 to 2014 Reta managed the construction planning system. Also in 2014, Reta contributes with the implementation of Program S11D, the largest project in Vale’s history realizing the program’s integrated planning management.
2015
Our company is also present in the Logistics sector. The most recent participation was the conclusion of the integrated executive management of one of Tiplam Terminal expansion works. One more time, Reta made its mark through an effective planning system that met all deadlines proposed.
